London Metropolitan University has failed in its attempt to overturn an employment tribunal's ruling that it unfairly dismissed 23 lecturers.
The Employment Appeals Tribunal rejected London Met's attempt to overturn an earlier ruling that lecturers had been unfairly dismissed following the institution's attempt to impose new staff contracts. The contracts were designed to harmonise terms and conditions after the merger of London Guildhall University and the University of North London.
