The Natural History Museum is pressing ahead with a Pounds 12 million Development of Earth galleries after winning Pounds 6 million from the Heritage Lottery Fund. The London museum, which has already raised the rest of the money, to open the first stage of the galleries in July. The final building will have three floors of high-tech exhibitions. Visitors will enter through an atrium with an 11-metre revolving globe.
