Staff at Glasgow University's Crichton Campus in Dumfries, threatened with funding-related closure, say they are optimistic following talks with John Kemp, deputy director of strategic development at the Scottish Funding Council. They believe there may be "breathing space" to allow the campus to build on undergraduate and postgraduate courses and introduce new options.
