Regular use of lab pipettes is leaving scientists with repetitive strain injury, it emerged this week. Problems resulting from their use are among the most common work-related musculo-skeletal disorders at Cambridge University, ranking alongside computer use, the annual report of the university's health and safety executive reveals.
Work-related mental ill-health was another of the main reasons for referral to the university's occupational health service.
