Fertility expert and television personality Lord Winston has become the patron of an £8 million fundraising campaign to create a world-class drug research and development centre at the University of Strathclyde's Institute of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences. The institute unites researchers in the chemical, biological and pharmaceutical fields to tackle major health challenges. The centre will aim to help nurture the next generation of life scientists and boost work with industry.
