World University Rankings 2021 by subject: computer science
The computer science subject table uses the same trusted and rigorous performance indicators as the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2021, but the methodology has been recalibrated to suit the discipline.
This year’s table includes 827 universities, up from 749 last year.

The University of Oxford leads the table for the third consecutive year. There are two new entries in the top 10: the National University of Singapore, which rises three places to eighth, and the University of California, Berkeley, which makes its debut in the list at ninth.
The California Institute of Technology plummets from 10th to 25th, while Princeton University drops two places to 11th.
Alongside Berkeley, the only other new entry in the ranking that features in the top 100 is the Tokyo Institute of Technology at joint 96th.
