About Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan

The Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan was established in 2019. The Institute is located in the capital and largest city in Turkmenistan, Ashgabat which was formerly known as Poltoratsk.

Ashgabat is known for being an important educational hub in Turkmenistan as it has several higher education institutions including Turkmen State University, and the International University of Humanities and Development.

The Institute offers both undergraduate and postgraduate specialist courses to students in a range of discipline areas related to telecommunications and informatics.

The Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan has seven faculties in which students can choose to study. These include: computing and computer science; information security; electronics, radio engineering and communication systems; mechanical engineering; land transport technology; technical systems management; and economics and management.

Throughout these faculties, there are a range of programme options on offer to prospective students such as computer network software, multichannel telecommunication systems, automatics, logistics, and applied informatics. To study at the Institute, entrance examinations must be taken in all areas of training in mathematics, physics and the history of Turkmenistan.
