About Université Chouaïb Doukkali

Université Chouaib Doukkali was founded in 1985 with two faculties, science and arts and humanities.

While the university retains its focus in these two disciplines it has since established further faculties in commerce, applied science and polydisciplines.

The main campus is based in El Jadida, a Moroccan seaport 65 miles from Casablanca.

The schools of applied science and polydisciplines operate out of the branch campus at Sidi Bennour which was set up in 2016.

Plans for the next few years include moving into the New Mazagan Technical Campus, taking its title from one of the city’s former names, and creating a faculty of medicine. It is one of 12 Moroccan universities pioneering a shift from traditional degree structures to the bachelor system, extending first degree courses from three to four years.
