American International University (AIU) is looking for dynamic and engaged full-time faculty members for its School of Engineering and Computing. 

AIU invites applicants for Full-time Faculty appointments with expertise in Civil Engineering.

Qualifications:


	PhD degree in Civil Engineering or related field
	Excellent communication skills in English

The ideal candidate is an innovative professional who leverages professional trends and technologies to deliver relevant classroom experiences. The successful candidate will be a leader and current, active member of the Civil Engineering field. The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses in:


	Energy Efficient and Green Buildings3- Energy, Emissions and Environmental Design
	Senior Design Projects – Environmental Design
	Sustainability Assessment and management


The candidate will possess the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures. The candidate will also be expected to develop research programs, supervise undergraduate students, and make contributions to both school and university service. Evidence of a strong commitment to both teaching and research is required.

Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level related to their specific expertise within the professional Civil Engineering curriculum. Also, we expect to play an active role in the leadership in undergraduate programs, curriculum development, mentoring, and start-ups. About the Project:

Our project, directly funded by industry, explores the immense potential of circularity to reduce primary resource use, minimize life cycle carbon and environmental impacts, and achieve cost savings in aerospace manufacturing. We aim to develop a life cycle-informed design approach that enables rapid assessment of the cost and environmental impacts of recyclable and recycled materials in aircraft systems. Through close collaboration with industry partners, this research will guide sustainable technology strategies, addressing key cost/benefit challenges through 2030 and 2050.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a part-time researcher (two days a week) to contribute to an integrated aircraft design framework focused on recyclability and remanufacturing. You will extend our Python-based aircraft design tool, enabling modular designs that incorporate recycled materials and components. Working closely with our industry partners, your work will support adaptations of current aircraft designs and the development of innovative design concepts, maximizing material properties and sustainable manufacturing methods.

Qualifications:


	Strong background in aircraft design.
	Proficiency in Python programming.
	Experience with sustainable design principles is a plus.

	Facilitate the collection and preparation of documentation required to confirm local capacity, obtain R&D theme lead approvals, collate regulatory approvals needed to instigate clinical trials 
	Facilitate the collection of local and regulatory approvals required for the      review and implementation of amendments 
	Provide comprehensive advice to external and internal parties for the conduct  of clinical trials  across the partner organisations. 
	To assist in maintaining the records of the clinical trials portfolios of the partner organisations including the EDGE system and ensuring information added is quality checked 
	To ensure that trials metrics are collected to permit tracking of milestones. 
	To assist in the archiving of clinical trials documentation to meet prevailing regulatory requirements. 
	To maintain a working knowledge of prevailing regulations, guidance, best   practices and GCP standards regarding the conduct of clinical trials 
	To ensure confidentiality of commercially sensitive information and that data protection imperatives are respected 


The above list of responsibilities may not be exhaustive, and the post holder will be required to undertake such tasks and responsibilities as may reasonably be expected within the scope and grading of the post. 

This is a full time post (35 Hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract.

Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow (several posts) in Cancer Research in the Department of Pathology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 530553), to commence as soon as possible for one to three year(s), with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree preferably in biomedical sciences or related disciplines, and strong research background in cancer biology, immuno-oncology, genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, bioinformatics, single cell technology or medicinal chemistry.  They should have a good command of written and spoken English, strong communication skills, and a demonstrated track record of publishing academic research papers. They should be self-motivated, hardworking and able to work well in an interdisciplinary team.  The appointees are expected to contribute to collaborative research projects under the supervision of Professor S.Y.
