Queen's University Belfast will see its budget next year cut by 4 per cent in real terms, a cash cut of 1 per cent. But the university has praised the Department of Education for Northern Ireland and the Northern Ireland Higher Education Council for "managing to ameliorate, to some extent, the worst of the cuts imposed on the English sector".
