A new paradigm in drug use and human health risk assessment: sewage profiling at community level

This project intends to develop research capability in sewage epidemiology via an integrated approach to public health monitoring, with real-time profiling of community health and lifestyle through the analysis of human biomarkers in sewage. It aims to advance knowledge of the epidemiology of (illicit) drug use and bridge gaps in expertise, offering an early warning system for disease outbreaks and pandemic hot spots.
