Alumnus to be proud of No. 67 is the man who has invented his own country, Umberto Bossi of Italy's Northern League party. If he were to follow the example of Oxford man Cecil Rhodes, the people of Milan and Turin could have been faced with the prospect of belonging to the state of Bossia. For better or worse, Bossi, a graduate of the University of Pavia, has settled for calling his invention Padania.
