Harrogate College

Malcolm Rossiter, principal of Huddersfield Technical College, has been appointed principal and will take up the post in September succeeding Peter Clarke.

University of Dundee

Pamela Milne, former personnel officer at the university, has been appointed director of personnel services.

Bournemouth University

The following have been appointed to the university's board of governors: Mary Chant, partner in charge of the commercial team at Blake Lapthorn (solicitors), Stephen Allen, managing director of Melcher Ltd.; Herman Nuttall, former chaplain at the university and the Bournemouth and Poole College of Art and Design.

European Synchrotron Radiation Facility, Grenoble

John Helliwell, professor of structural chemistry at the University of Manchester, has been appointed to the UK delegation of the council of ESRF, having previously served as chairman of the science advisory committee.
