David Lock, university secretary, has been appointed registrar and secretary; Carl Baron, fellow and senior tutor at St Catherine's College, Cambridge, has been appointed academic registrar; Eric Gibson, director of finance at Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, has been appointed director of finance.
