UNIVERSITY OF OXFORD. Vice chancellor elect: Colin Lucas, historian and master of Balliol College.

UNIVERSITY OF ABERDEEN. C. Duncan Rice, historian and vice chancellor of New York University, has been appointed principal, succeeding J. Maxwell Irvine.

ASSOCIATION OF UNIVERSITY ADMINISTRATORS. Keith Jones, academic secretary at the University of Liverpool, has been appointed chair of AUA, succeeding Sally Neocosmos, university secretary at Sheffield Hallam University.

BOND UNIVERSITY, QUEENSLAND. Raoul Mortley, vice chancellor at Newcastle University, is appointed vice chancellor from August 1; Alan Finch, registrar at the University of Southern Queensland, has been appointed registrar.
