Awards

WEIGELT-WALLACE AWARD Angus Wallace, head of orthopaedic surgery at the Queen's Medical Centre, Nottingham, has been awarded $50,000 from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Centre in Dallas. The award was established by Ross Perot in recognition of Professor Wallace's "exemplary medical care" when he operated on Paula Dixon, who suffered a collapsed lung during a Boeing 747 flight last May.
