The Library of Congress isn't the only organisation interested in Twitter preservation ("Memory failure detected", 1 September).
Last year, Jisc funded developments to the TwapperKeeper Twitter archiving service to support developments of interest to the UK's higher education sector. An archive was kept of the tweets posted during the Association for Learning Technology conference 2011 and at the time of writing more than 6,000 tweets had been collected.
From the use of the associated Summarizr tool, we can see a word cloud showing the popularity of "Karen" and "Cator" (one of the plenary speakers) and "technology" (unsurprisingly) - but why were people tweeting about "Uruguay"?
