About the opportunity


	Contribute to teaching, research, research supervision, and engagement activities within the Law School.
	Teach undergraduate and postgraduate units courses in domestic Environmental Law, as well as compulsory offerings in the JD and other undergraduate and postgraduate law programs as required.
	Fulfill the responsibilities of an academic at the relevant level of appointment in your field of expertise.


About you 


	Completion of LLB or JD and completion of, or significant progress towards completion of, a PhD, or equivalent, in Law or a relevant postgraduate qualification in Law combined with professional experience.
	Demonstrated ability to deliver innovative teaching approaches, assessments and materials for units and courses, particularly in environmental law.
	An emerging research profile in environmental law, relative to opportunity.
	Evidence of successful supervision or co-supervision of HDR students, relative to opportunity. 
	Demonstrated ability to relate well to staff and students at all levels and evidence of a commitment to principles of diversity, equity and inclusion.

 Description The San Diego State University (SDSU) Department of Finance in the Fowler College of Business seeks to hire a tenure-track faculty member (Assistant Professor) who has a research and teaching interest in Corporate Finance with an emphasis on Entrepreneurial Finance to begin in Fall 2025. This position is contingent upon state funding.Qualifications Qualified applicants will hold a doctorate (Ph.D.) in Finance or in a related field by August 2025. The successful candidate will possess strong research interest and capability as evidenced by an appropriate history of, or potential for, professional growth activity. This will include regular publication in high-quality, refereed journals and professional conference participation as well as demonstration of an innovative and active research agenda. Teaching experience at the undergraduate and graduate levels is preferred. Candidates will also be expected to demonstrate an ability to interact effectively with members of the business community.The SDSU Fowler College of Business is among the nation's oldest and largest AACSB accredited business schools. Job Purpose

The Head of the Business is an important appointment for the University of Southampton Delhi. The role holder will be responsible for ensuring that the academic activity within Business delivers the University’s ‘Triple Helix’ Strategy, ensuring excellence in education, research and knowledge exchange and enterprise.

The role holder will provide high-level academic leadership in the delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate education, ensuring that the quality of education delivered is equivalent to that offered in the UK. In collaboration with the Southampton Business School, they will be responsible for recruiting and establishing the very best cohort of staff to deliver degree programmes at University of Southampton Delhi. They will lead the subject area’s academic plan and vision and ensure a high-quality student experience. They will also personally contribute to the delivery of education, modelling high standards of educational delivery.

They will, once the educational activity is embedded and successful, lead research activities in line with the campus’s research plans, ensuring strategically relevant and high-quality research activity. In doing so, they will ensure that we sustain our international reputation for research by publishing peer-reviewed research in high-quality conferences and journals. They will plan and develop research independently, in collaboration with colleagues in Delhi, UK, and Malaysia, and promote and support research led by colleagues at University of Southampton Delhi.

They will be a key member of the campus’s leadership team and undertake relevant leadership, management, and engagement activities, ensuring a culture of belonging, inclusion, diversity and equity in the subject area. 1. R.H Strategy:

a.    Deploy the human resources policy at its perimeter in collaboration with the heads of research entities and the group HR department on all aspects of HR management: recruitment, administrative management, career management, management of annual performance evaluation commissions, health and safety policy, HR reporting, etc.
b.    Deploy the HR policy 
c.    Organize the HR department to support all activities
d.    Implement the HR monitoring and reporting tools necessary for HR management
