The Manager, Enrolments and Student Reporting oversees the day-to-day operations of student enrolment and reporting services and works with the Senior Manager, Student Administration and Reporting Services to ensure institutional compliance with the Higher Education Support Act 2003 (HESA) as it relates to student records, scholarships, entitlements, course load and completions. Location: Bedford Park / Kaurna Country View Position Description About the Role Our mission is to help students feel supported and empowered with confidence to succeed at University. As our Student Success & Wellbeing Coordinator, you will lead the strategic delivery of student success and wellbeing services and initiatives to ensure the delivery of high-quality guidance and support to students. The position is responsible for the operational oversight of the Student Success and Wellbeing Advisor (SSWA) team, including managing the team's workflow, triaging and allocation of student cases and implementation of quality assurance processes to enhance the student experience, retention, and success. As a member of the Student Life division, the Student Success and Wellbeing Coordinator leads the identification and execution of proactive outreach campaigns, events, and interventions across the student lifecycle. The role acts as a primary liaison between Student Life, the Colleges, and student service areas across the University. About This Opportunity  This is a truly crucial role with the potential to make meaningful, longstanding impact on both UQ and community. Reporting directly to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Indigenous Engagement (DVCIE), this leadership position will develop the strategic direction for Indigenous Education, monitor the whole-of-university approach to Indigenous Education, develop strategies to enhance the recruitment of Indigenous students, ensure support and success for our Indigenous students. As a senior leader within the Office of the DVC(IE), you’ll provide strategic leadership and direction for a team of both academic and professional staff. Outside the Indigenous Engagement division, you’ll forging strong connections with the University’s Senior Executive Team, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) portfolio, Heads of UQ Student Colleges, and the UQ Union. You’ll also be able to make your mark on UQ more broadly by recommendations for the development and implementation of key UQ strategies, across the UQ Strategic Plan, the Queensland Commitment, UQ’s Stretch Reconciliation Action Plan, UQ’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Research and Innovation Strategy, and more. We’re searching for an experienced academic leader with a PhD (or equivalent) and a national profile spanning across teaching, research, and engagement. You will bring leadership in relation to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander matters, supported by a strong knowledge and planning of both organisation-wide campaigns and involvement with external stakeholders. Your extensive experience in the Higher Education sector will be critical to your success in strategic planning, curriculum development, navigating legislative and regulatory frameworks, and contributing to policy development and change.
