Job Description SCHOOL OF BUSINESS DEPARTMENT OF MANAGEMENT, MARKETING AND INFORMATION SYSTEMS Senior Lecturer / Lecturer I (25260537) The Department of Management, Marketing and Information Systems invites applications for a position at the Lecturer I or Senior Lecturer rank in the Management team. We are seeking candidates with substantial applied organizational / industry research experience and teaching experience at a higher education or professional level. The ability to teach management and talent development-related courses and transdisciplinary courses would be an advantage. Candidates should have a doctoral degree from a reputable university and advanced training in data analytics. We would particularly welcome applications from candidates who are familiar with the labour markets in the Greater Bay Area and have good contacts in the business community. The position will be located at the Kowloon Tong campus, and will be primarily responsible for teaching undergraduate courses and conducting research and consultancy services for the Centre of Human Resources Strategy and Development (CHRSD). An initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of 2 years. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement. Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. About this position: The Centre of Microbiology and Environmental Systems Science is comprised of 15 groups that conduct internationally leading research in the field of microbial ecology and environmental systems science. The Centre's Department of Microbiology and Ecosystem Science assembles an international, ambitious and committed team and offers an interdisciplinary scientific environment, cutting-edge laboratories and a creative working atmosphere.  The Doctoral School in Microbiology and Environmental Science at the Centre supports PhD students in the finishing phase of their dissertation project through short-term finishing contracts. These employments are provided to students who have signed a doctoral thesis agreement and have already made significant progress in their doctoral thesis project. Positions have a limited duration with an option for extension. One 4-month position is available for students of the Doctoral School in Microbiology and Environmental Science through this job announcement. Your future tasks: You actively participate in research, teaching & administration in the context of your doctoral thesis project, which means: Involvement in and finalizing of a research project as detailed in your doctoral thesis agreement Publications and presentations Involvement in project applications for third-party funding Teaching of courses as defined by the collective agreement Supervision of trainees and students Meeting and consulting with your supervisor(s) on a regular basis in order to prioritize your tasks and get the necessary support to complete your dissertation successfully in time. (plus 17% superannuation) Orange We are currently seeking a First Nations Health and Wellbeing Researcher to join the Rural Health Research Institute (RHRI) to support and/ or lead transformative research that strengthens the health, wellbeing, and lived experiences of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, particularly in rural and regional communities. At Level A, you will play a key role in research delivery, including conducting literature reviews, supporting data collection and analysis, and engaging with community partners. At Level B, you will take the lead in designing research projects, partnering with community through co production, preparing publications and reports, securing funding, and translating research insights into meaningful outcomes. The successful candidate will be appointed at either Level A or Level B, depending on their qualifications, skills and experience. The position will be based at our Orange campus where you will work alongside multidisciplinary researchers and leaders committed to delivering high impact research that addresses rural, remote, Indigenous and global health challenges.
