About the role 

The School of Education Communication and Society are seeking to recruit an outstanding Mathematics education specialist to play a central role in the development of research and teaching in Mathematics education at King’s. 

The successful candidate will be a member of the vibrant and friendly  Centre for Research in Education in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (CRESTEM).

They will play a key role in the leadership and mentoring of Mathematics education colleagues within CRESTEM, contribute to teaching and supervision in Maths and STEM education across doctoral, MA and ITE programmes, conduct and publish outstanding research, obtain external funding for new research projects, and help to promote a culture of interdisciplinary collaboration within and beyond CRESTEM.

The successful candidate will have an established research funding track record, and be committed to the dissemination of research and the building of impact through outreach and continuing professional development initiatives. They will also have experience of initial teacher education in Mathematics,  and knowledge of professional and policy issues related to ITE in the UK context.

They will also have experience of academic leadership and a collegial approach to leading teams. In particular, they will have a commitment to justice and equity-based perspectives in Mathematics education.

About you

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:

Essential criteria


	PhD in a relevant subject
	World-class research capacity evidenced in a substantial record of high-quality research publications and funding.
	Experience of supervising doctoral level work in Mathematics education and STEM education more broadly.
	Knowledge and experience of Mathematics initial teacher education, with an understanding of ITE in the UK context.
	Proven teaching ability and an interest in and expertise relevant to justice-based pedagogies in Mathematics education.
	Experience of successful academic leadership and management and a collegial approach to leading teams.
	A strong affinity with the School’s mission and values, embracing its commitment to collegial and consultative ways of working, inclusivity and social and environmental justice

The Institute of Public Health is an educational and research department of the Faculty of Medicine at Masaryk University. About The Role

The purpose of the Library Assistant (Special Collections) is to support the operations and services of the Foyle Special Collections Library. This is a role in which you will be primarily working on-site.

This is an exciting opportunity for candidates looking to work with unique and distinctive collections that enhance teaching, learning and research and who wish to utilise their skills and expertise in service development and delivery. This is an opportunity to grow your skills in in rare books and printed special collections.
