Since its establishment, the School of Medicine has had considerable impact, and we are now seeking an outstanding leader capable of advancing the School to the next phase of its growth.

We are looking for an individual who will provide exceptional leadership, bringing significant experience of working at a senior level who will support the School in its teaching and research endeavours. We at Ulster, place a high importance on creativity, teamwork, and inclusivity, and we will be looking to find a leader to help us further instil these principles throughout the School. The successful candidate will have the chance to help the School grow both domestically and globally in this position.

About the position

This position is responsible for managing the University's cloud services and platforms, including the Microsoft M365 environment, Azure Services, identity and access management, multi-factor authentication (MFA), Microsoft platform licenses, and Azure management. The Senior Manager oversees a team of database administrators, cloud platform engineers, and Microsoft systems administrators, ensuring that the University's cloud infrastructure is secure, efficient, and scalable to support the University's strategic objectives.

 

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this position, you will have:


	Extensive experience managing cloud services and platforms, including Microsoft M365, and Azure Services.
	Strong knowledge of identity and access management, multi-factor authentication (MFA), Microsoft platform licenses, and Azure management.
	Proven ability to lead and manage technical teams, including database administrators, cloud platform engineers, and Microsoft systems administrators.

Professor Management Science and Engineering


	Teach at undergraduate and graduate level in subject areas and on time schedules allocated by the Chair of Department
	Prepare teaching material including course outline, syllabus and lesson plans. Revise the subject matter on a regular basis as appropriate for that subject
	Contribute to the development, planning and implementation of a high quality curriculum
	Provide students with detailed syllabus, methods of instruction and evaluation in their courses
	Engage in the selection of textbooks and other teaching aids necessary to the instruction of courses
	Monitor students’ performance in their subject areas and provides remedial classes when necessary
	Set and mark exams, coursework, assignments, laboratory work, homework, and any other relevant activity

About the Position

As the Director Research and Innovation, you will provide strategic leadership to the Office of Research and Innovation (ORI) at CDU, supporting the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Research and Innovation (DVCRI) to identify and develop research opportunities, and promote innovation and commercialisation across CDU’s institutes, centres, and campuses. CDU is a research intensive University, undergoing significant growth in its research portfolio and Higher Degree by Research student cohort.  You will contribute to the University’s strategic management of Research Block Grants, operationalisation of initiatives that will grow the portfolio and improve research outcomes across the University, strategic planning and mobilisation of resources that support research objectives.

About You

To be successful, you will require:


	Relevant tertiary education qualifications with demonstrated experience undertaking postgraduate research.
	Demonstrated experience in senior leadership within a University Research office or equivalent. This includes demonstrated experience in research and innovation management, business development and success in implementing service improvement strategies in a complex workplace environment.
	Demonstrated high-level knowledge of the Australian and global research and innovation environment and research management and research policy in Australia.
	Demonstrated leadership and management skills at both strategic and operational levels, including effective management of multi-disciplinary professional staff.
	Demonstrated ability to contribute effectively to the strategic direction of a large, diverse organisation.
	Demonstrated ability to develop and implement research policy.
	Demonstrated experience in financial control and budget management resulting in successful outcomes and high levels of accountability.

Southampton Business School (SBS) is placed at the centre of the University of Southampton, a top 100 University in the world and a founder member of the UK Russell Group University. About you

As Professor you will play a central role in leading the research agenda in marketing. You will bring to the role a strong professional reputation, including a sustained record of world leading research and thought leadership, through a sustained publications record in top-ranked international academic journals. You will lead on research, collaborating with ECRs and other department colleagues, aiming at high-quality publications. You will have experience in leading major funding bids, along with setting up and managing the resources needed to deliver the research plan. You will act as a leader and ambassador for us in knowledge exchange/enterprise or other business engagement activities.

You will be an experienced educator with proven track record of high-quality teaching, able to lead in the development of education policy and practice and be able to design and develop courses and programmes at all levels (UG, MSc and MBA and Executive Levels). You will be an experienced researcher able to supervise doctoral students.

You will have a strong research vision and leadership skills. Your leadership skills will be evident, whether through your research, education, or having held a leadership role. You will have proved your ability to innovate and engage in inspiring students and colleagues alike, helping to build a strong academic community.

You will play a leading role in the implementation of the strategy of Southampton Business School and Department of Digital and Data Driven Marketing.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the development and expansion of the Centre for Marketing Research within the Department of Digital and Data Driven Marketing. The Centre, consisting of twenty plus active researchers, aims to solve real-life marketing challenges using a variety of innovative methodological approaches.
