About the Role

The Lecturer, Advertising is expected to contribute to the teaching and research efforts of the School in the field of Creative Advertising, including copywriting and/or art direction. More specifically, the Lecturer, Advertising is responsible for carrying out teaching activities related to Creative Advertising within undergraduate and postgraduate coursework programs and for maintaining and advancing their scholarly, research and/or professional capabilities

The Lecturer, Advertising is also expected to actively promote the programs by establishing and maintaining memberships, links and partnerships with academic, industry and professional communities. This includes the Hungry Talks project and Hungry Talks Pitch Night, which are key components of the Advertising major in the Bachelor of Professional Communication that bring RMIT students and Industry together through panel discussions, presentations and meetings.

To be successful in this position, you'll have as a minimum:


	Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver creative advertising courses at undergraduate level and the ability to produce high quality curriculum or program materials.
	Ability to undertake course coordination role.
	Demonstrated capacity to work effectively with and to negotiate sensitively with students especially on issues related to effective learning.
	Emerging track record and recognition for quality research outputs that will contribute to existing Discipline and School research areas evidenced by publications, development of new research initiatives, competitive research funding, and industry links.
	Ability to supervise postgraduate research projects.

The Faculty of Law at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK LAW) is among the most dynamic and accomplished law schools in Asia. Since welcoming its inaugural cohort in 2006, CUHK LAW’s achievements in research and education have been internationally recognized. This recognition is further reflected in the most recent Research Assessment Exercise (2020) conducted by the Hong Kong University Grants Committee, where CUHK LAW’s research strength was underscored by an impressive 83% of its research activities being rated as “world-leading” (4*) or “internationally significant” (3*). With a strong global outlook, our academic staff represent nearly twenty jurisdictions through their origins or training.

CUHK LAW is now inviting applications for appointment(s) as Professor, Associate Professor, or Assistant Professor. Those appointed at the Professor level are expected to have an established record of academic leadership in research or education at an international level. The Department of Ophthalmology is a joint workplace of the Medical Faculty of MU and the Faculty of Hospital Brno, which, in addition to medical activities, carries out educational, scientific and research activities.
