Universidade Mandume ya Ndemufayo is located in Lubayo, Angola.
It began as a teacher training college in 1963 and went through the standard route of Angolan institutions, becoming part of the Universidad Agostinho Neto before attaining its current name and autonomous public university status in 2009.
The main site at Lubayo accommodates faculties of law, economics and medicine along with the component parts of the polytechnic institute of Huila – animal husbandry, and design, and six varieties of engineering – mining, civil, geological, agricultural, mechanical and computer.
The Polytechnic School of Cubano Cubango offers business computing, agricultural engineering, medicine, tourism, biology, nursing and maths.
