Founded in 1898, the University of East London runs seven schools including Architecture, Computing and Engineering, Arts and Digital Industries, Cass School of Education and Communities, Health, Sport and Bioscience, Psychology, Social Sciences, Royal Docks School of Business and Law and a Graduate School. The university prides its Psychology, Education and Communities, and Business and Law schools.
UEL is located in the East London boroughs of Stratford and Docklands. The largest campus is in Docklands. The Stratford Campus hosting Cass School of Education and Communities, the School of Health Sport and Bioscience and the School of Psychology, is centred around a 19th century listed building. The University Square Stratford campus is jointly owned with Birkbeck, and is dedicated to adult students. The institution offers a number of different clubs and societies run by students, their focus ranging from arts to biking, and from causes such as International Development and LGBT rights to identity - whether national, cultural, political or religious. Clubs and societies are one of the best ways to get to know people with similar interests and make friends.

The role As a Lifeguard you will be part of a highly motivated and organised Southampton Sport Team responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient daily operation of the facilities. Based at Jubilee Sport and Recreation Centre on Highfield Campus. Lifeguard roles are primarily responsible for working on poolside as a lifeguard, but will also deal with customer queries, preparing equipment, ensuring health and safety procedures are being following, and being an ambassador for active lifestyles at the University of Southampton. Description The Center for Smart Engineering Materials (CSEM) at New York University Abu Dhabi invites applications for a Research Assistant position to support ongoing research in the design, development, and characterization of innovative and multifunctional construction materials, including self-sensing and self-healing systems, with applications in infrastructure, oil and gas, and energy-efficient construction. The successful candidate will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of postdoctoral researchers, faculty members, graduate students, and undergraduate students on a range of projects, including: Investigation of self-healing cementitious materials, including chemical and bio-based approaches (e.g., bio-mineralization, encapsulated agents). Characterization of self-sensing materials, including their electrical and mechanical behavior under various stressors;Contribution to life-cycle assessment (LCA) and life-cycle cost analysis (LCCA) of novel materials to evaluate their environmental and economic impacts; Support in experimental design, data collection and analysis, and dissemination of findings through reports and publications.
