Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) is one of the premier institutions of India established in 1984 by Dr G Viswanathan, the Founder and Chancellor of the institute. VIT has become the 12th best research institution of India as per the Govt. of India ranking, 2021. VIT was awarded the highest grade A++ by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). 33 Professors of VIT are among the top 2% scientists of the world as shown in a survey conducted by Stanford University, USA in 2021.
