About the Positions  We currently have positions for Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in the discipline of Podiatry. The role We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated Project Officer to lead the delivery of our newly awarded GREENIN Micro Network Plus project. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in expanding the network's reach, shaping its strategic activities, and coordinating its execution. You will also contribute to the wider research ambitions of the University of Surrey’s renowned Global Centre for Clean Air Research (GCARE). GREENIN (Greening the Indoors: transformation of indoor environments in a changing climate) is a collaborative grant led by GCARE in partnership with the UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology and the universities of Bath, Oxford, York, and Cranfield. GREENIN will build a community of practice, which will assess the effectiveness of plants in purifying air, regulating temperature, and controlling humidity indoors whilst examining how building design, construction materials, and human activity influence their impact. You will lead the end-to-end delivery and management of the GREENIN project. Leveraging a solid project management background and a proactive mindset, you will collaborate with co-leads, funders, GCARE collaborators and stakeholders to provide timely solutions and manage information accurately under often tight deadlines. This is a part-time, on-site role based at the University of Surrey, requiring daily attendance. The fixed-term contract will run until 5th October 2027, with potential for extension in both contract length and daily hours with mutual agreement. Organise meetings and events: schedule and facilitate steering board and project management meetings, webinars, and workshops aligned with project goals, as well as attend them in person where relevant and necessary. Manage project communications: oversee social media, website content, science communication, and outreach activities for effective dissemination. Support new research development: contribute to developing new research proposals and building partnerships with funders to sustain GCARE’s ongoing research initiatives by securing external funding. ABOUT XJTLU In 2006 Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) was created by the University of Liverpool and Xi’an Jiaotong University – a top ten university in China. ABOUT DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICS The Department of Physics is part of the School of Mathematics and Physics (SMP) at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU). Research in the Department seeks to explore and explain fundamental aspects of the world we live in, from the smallest subatomic particles to the Universe as a whole. Building on its existing strengths, the Department is expanding into application-oriented areas that can drive technological innovation and help address major global challenges. POSITION INTRODUCTION The Department of Physics at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) invites applications for a faculty position in AI for Theoretical and Physics-Informed Modelling. We seek a highly motivated and well-qualified candidate with a strong background in theoretical and computational physics, with expertise in physics-based modelling, numerical simulation, and AI-enhanced scientific computing. Research interests may include (but are not limited to) interstellar medium and astrochemical modelling, multiphysics systems, complex physical processes, and data-driven scientific simulation. The successful candidate is expected to play a key role in developing physics-informed artificial intelligence methods that integrate physical laws, numerical solvers, and machine learning, with strong emphasis on interpretability, reliability, and scientific validity.
