I was flattered that my appointment as dean of the London College of Printing Media School featured in "In the News" ( THES , January 10), but I did not make the decision to shift the timing of TV's News at Ten . That was made by ITV. I worked for ITN, the separate company that provides news to ITV. Like many at ITN, I was sad to see such a respected programme move.
