十二月 20, 2002

Contract research staff are not the only university employees to benefit from the removal of fixed-term contracts ("Surrey contract staff win job security", THES, December 6). Loughborough University and trade unions agreed a deal three years ago that moved 390 employees from fixed-term to open-ended contracts. We are about to transfer about 100 core employees in our research institutes onto the same.
