Referring to the new Glyndwr University, Welsh First Minister Rhodri Morgan said: "Today is an historic day for North East Wales because it now has the university it deserves" ("Campus round-up", 24 July). I am reminded of what Samuel Johnson allegedly said when receiving an unwanted manuscript: "Thank you for your manuscript, I shall waste no time in reading it."
