So the Quality Assurance Agency has decreed that it will endorse the standard of degrees awarded by London Business School and Cambridge University only if the institutions act on its recommendations ("Watchdog mauls LBS and Cambridge quality", THES , October 24). How many QAA assessors possess sufficient "quality" to get a job at either institution? But who wants a job at either when one can work at the QAA?
