Quality course

六月 13, 2003

I am appalled at the way that an innovative postgraduate programme from the University of Glamorgan for the College of Chiropractors has been trivialised and misrepresented in your article ("'No-effort' courses under fire", THES , June 6).

The University of Glamorgan has been involved in chiropractic education for six years, and the two cohorts of graduates produced to date have been very well received by the profession. The excellence of the undergraduate course at Glamorgan is clearly on a par with the quality of that provided by the other principal UK centres for chiropractic education.

These new postgraduate continuing professional development activities will be of a similar rigour and excellence, and to suggest otherwise is to demean a dedicated, committed and extremely hard-working section of the UK medical community.
