We are not amused

十月 8, 2009

Opening your recent article on the research excellence framework ("It's evolution, not revolution for REF", 24 September), I was struck by Times Higher Education's determination not to let metrics go.

Biblometrics may have been watered down by the Higher Education Funding Council for England, but it seems you are keen to replace it with anthropometrics - or rather, women's "vital statistics". You seem to be developing the habit of using sexist images as "fun" illustrations - not appreciated by this female academic, nor many others, I'm sure.
