Final Word

九月 27, 1996

This week's Final Word comes from a book that introduced us all to the butterfly effect: "Up in the mountains, he knew, the ants changed with the season. Bees hovered and darted in a dynamical buzz. Clouds skidded across the sky. He could not work the old way any more."

Entries should be submitted to Final Word, The THES, Admiral House, 66-68 East Smithfield, London E1 9XY, faxed to 0171-782 3300 or emailed to theschat@thes.co.uk. The winner receives a Pounds 20 book token and the closing date is October 1.

The winner of last week's competition, who identified Bram Stoker's Dracula, is Linda Harding of Plymouth.
