The trouble with the HEA

六月 25, 2015

If a Nobel prizewinning scientist can be brought down by his poorly judged remarks about women working in the laboratory (“The week in higher education”, News, 18 June), then why does the Higher Education Academy think that it can get away with a recruitment advertisement in which all 13 of the academics and students depicted (with the possible exception of an unidentifiable right arm) are male? At least Sir Tim Hunt acknowledged that there are women in science.
