The Queen had a taste of real life in the common room when she paused for a coffee with graduate theology students on a visit to open Cambridge University's new divinity faculty. All the students had to offer Her Majesty was a cup of Nescafe, either black or with powdered milk. She opted for black, and took one sip before putting it back on the table. At which point somebody thought to pass her the sugar jar. "I knew it was missing something," she said.
