Neil Towers, professor of retail marketing, University of Gloucestershire

Joseph Lampel has been appointed as the Eddie Davies chair in enterprise, innovation and strategy at the University of Manchester’s business school. Previously, he served as professor of strategy and innovation at City University London’s Cass Business School.

The University of Westminster has appointed Dibyesh Anand as its new head of the department of politics and international relations.

Neil Towers, previously professor of supply chain management at Heriot-Watt University, has joined the University of Gloucestershire as professor of retail marketing.

Philip Bejon has been appointed as the new director of the KEMRI-Wellcome Trust Research Programme in Kilifi, Kenya, one of the charity’s major overseas programmes.

Sonal Minocha has taken up the position of pro vice-chancellor for global engagement at Bournemouth University. Dr Minocha joined Bourne­mouth from the University of Bedfordshire.

Barry Percy-Smith has taken over as director of the University of Huddersfield’s Centre for Applied Childhood Studies. He comes to Huddersfield from the University of the West of England.

York St John University has appointed two new senior directors. Fay Treloar and Geoffrey Smith have been made head of the directorate of employability, enterprise and business engagement, and director of inter­national development, respectively.
