Artistic impressions: a bronze cast of an infant's skeleton is one of a number of thought-provoking pieces of sculpture on show at Winchester Cathedral. The exhibition, curated by John Gibbons, professor of sculpture at Southampton University, sets the modern sculpture by artist Mark Quinn against the ancient backdrop of the cathedral. The sculpture will share the space with a piece by Turner Prize winner Rachel Whiteread and Professor Gibbons's own work. Professor Gibbons said: 'In all the works I have chosen there is a sense of revelation. I hope that within this very particular setting they will challenge our perception.' The exhibition runs until July 31.
