BioCity Nottingham, the UK's largest bioscience and healthcare innovation centre, appointed its first chief executive on Monday. Glenn Crocker, 39, joined from Ernst & Young, where he helped universities to spin off companies as head of the UK biotechnology practice. BioCity is operated by a consortium that includes the two local universities and is run from premises donated by chemical company BASF to Nottingham Trent University. Dr Crocker graduated in genetics from Nottingham University and gained a PhD in immunology at Oxford University.
