Two members of the Scottish Parliament's enterprise and lifelong learning committee clashed last week - not over policies, but ancient Greek pronunciation.
Liberal Democrat MSP George Lyon accused the opposition of hyperbole, which he pronounced "hyperbowl".
Tory grande dame Annabel Goldie sniffed: "That is not a term with which I am familiar, but it seems redolent of a big, gaping receptacle."
