A top-level reshuffle and subsequent new direction for Bournemouth University has prompted a fresh recruitment drive.
Thirteen academic posts, including five chairs, all advertised in The Times Higher this week, have opened up as the university writes a new corporate plan that aims to point it more in the direction of research and enterprise.
The university is looking for a chair in computer animation, a reader in digital special effects and a reader in computer games to further bolster its 5-rated National Centre for Computer Animation.
Bournemouth's investment in tourism studies will continue with the appointment of three chairs in addition to a reader in statistics and a lecturer in tourism.
The university is also hoping to fill a chair in journalism, a readership in radio and three posts in geoinformatics.
