Churlish Cambridge

二月 19, 1999

It really is churlish of Cambridge University to insist on Gill Evans paying the Pounds 15,000 costs of the court case it could so easily have avoided and then even thinking of sending the bailiffs round ("Whistleblowers, THES, February 12). Where a case involves fundamental matters of principle it is not uncommon for the richer party to forgo costs. Cambridge should stop persecuting one of its own community who is raising legitimate concerns.
