AROUND 800 colleges across England were this week asked to consider alternative funding measures in the wake of the Goverment's decision to axe the demand-led element of college funding. The Further Education Funding Council's options for funding circular asks insititutions to consider a range of measures designed to protect provision after Government funding for DLE ceases at the end of this teaching year. The FEFC will use the replies, due back by the middle of next month, to help it formulate a funding model for next year.
