A computer system recreating the Bogside of January 1972 has won a prestigious EuroPrix nomination. The system was developed by the Northern Ireland Centre for Learning Resources to help those making submissions to the Saville Inquiry into the events of Bloody Sunday.
The EuroPrix MultiMediaArt is a Europe-wide contest rewarding best practice in multimedia products. The software uses touch-screen technology to enable users to 'move through the streets of a virtual-reality Bogside'. The system won a British Interactive Multimedia Association's award earlier this year.
