Nanoforum is organising a conference on 'nanotechnology and smart materials for medical devices', to take place on 1 and 2 December in Edinburgh, Scotland.
The conference will investigate the idea that inbuilt intelligence or smartness is gaining credence in the quest for structures and systems that respond in a meaningful way to the body's environment.
The event aims to demonstrate how the convergence of nanotechnology and the life sciences will develop a revolutionary new generation of devices in key medical areas, such as:
- diagnostics;
- imaging;
- power systems;
- tissue engineering;
- surface modification;
- implants and devices.
