Brussels, 23 Jan 2004
CORDIS, the European Community's Research and Development Information Service, has launched its Projects service for the Sixth Framework Programme (FP6).
Covering all activity areas of FP6, the service will host project factsheets and contact details for every project funded under the programme. Users can already browse a series of JRC actions, and projects under other activity areas will be published regularly over the coming weeks and months, as they are made available by the European Commission.
The service also provides access to FP6 project news and success stories. Through links to other parts of the CORDIS FP6 service, users can access step by step guides to FP6 and helpful advice on managing a project.
Project details are published on CORDIS after the negotiation and signature of contracts between the European Commission and consortia. This follows the publication of calls for proposals and the selection procedure, whereby potential projects are selected by the European Commission to be partly financed with European Union funding.
