Last week's survey of vice chancellors' pay should have listed the pay of Ron Cooke, of York University, as Pounds 89,000 in both 1994-95 and 1995-96. The principal of King's College, London, Arthur Lucas, was paid Pounds 98,000 in 1995-96 and Pounds 93,000 the previous year, while the Pounds 116,000 paid to Brian Gomes da Costa as principal of Bath College of HE was inclusive of pension contributions. A. T. Florence should have been listed as head of the School of Pharmacy and Sir William Asscher as principal of St George's Medical School.
