Correction

The salary increase for Paisley University's vice-chancellor, Richard Shaw, in The THES league table of salaries (February 5) between 1996-97 and 1997-98 is 3 per cent and not 11.1 per cent. This error was due to an omission in the figures supplied by the Scottish funding council.
