Research into voting habits during May's general election reveals a growing threat from far-right parties in the UK. The report by the Institute of Community Cohesion at Coventry University states that despite the failure of the British National Party to secure a parliamentary seat, there were a surprisingly large number of votes cast for it in a number of constituencies. The study also shows that outside the Conservatives, Labour and Liberal Democrats, the next most popular parties were the UK Independence Party and the BNP.
