Teesside University administrators were taken aback last week when they learnt that a gay website was recommending the university's library as the perfect place for sexual rendezvous.
Site visitors are told that the library is the "cruisiest" area of the campus - especially "when all the staff have gone... Security guards come round every now and again but you can usually hear them coming because of the radios they carry".
A university spokesman said it was taking the claims very seriously: "We are monitoring the situation in the library and redoubling our security there."
